Why BARNES Lyon exists
Thomas Vantorre has a taste for challenge and innovation. But what guided his recruitment in 2015 was to build a team with whom he shares the values that are fundamental to him: the right value of things, human relationships, our environment, promises kept and entrepreneurship.
The first office opens at 29, quai Saint Antoine in Lyon 2nd district.

An innovative and supportive service offering for the people of Lyon
BARNES Lyon was quick to respond to the demanding expectations of the Lyonnais community, with a new, effective real estate service offering, providing tailor-made support for sales projects, particularly upmarket ones.
A second branch was opened in the 6th arrondissement, becoming a place for meeting, sharing and commitment, going beyond simple real estate transactions.

2023
The real estate market has seen a significant drop in transactions.
Some 16% down on the previous year. Linked to rising interest rates, which have almost quadrupled in 18 months, this is the first fall in property prices for 10 years. Economic conditions deteriorated in Q2 2023, although the first indicators date back to September 2022. This situation is affecting buyers' purchasing power, forcing them to make larger down payments. Sellers have to adjust their selling prices in line with recent transactions. However, for those who have owned their property for more than 5 years, capital gains are recorded in every one of our sales.
